Raya Sports & Events is the Philippine organizing group of the 2007 World Pool Championship in Manila. It is a division of Prism Strategic Communications, a Philippine company engaged in communications management, policy research and publishing.

Raya manages and promotes sports, business and entertainment events in the Philippines and the Asian region.

On November 4-12, 2006,Raya brought the WPA World Pool Championship for the first time to the Philippines.The event was held at the Philippine International Convention Center.

For the successful debut of the WPC in Manila, the Philippines was described by Billiards Digest in its annual awards as “the epicenter of international pool” and Raya president Yen Makabenta was cited as its “Man of the Year.”

Raya is also the organizer and promoter of the annual BSCP National Pool Championships in the Philippines. In the tournament, it launched competition for both men and women.

The Raya organization is headed by Yen Makabenta as chairman and president, and JP Fenix as executive vice-pesident and managing director. Makabenta is also currently the chairman of the Billiards & Snooker Congress of the Philippines.
